More bad Covid news, and some saddening news..........
"Hi every one,
Bad news, this dam virus has bitten us again.
It is with great sadness that the law has said that as from Thursday the 5th of
November 2020, until Wednesday the 2nd 2020 we will go into lock down again
and it means that our club will not be able to shoot at the range
between these dates how long after that I do not know we will keep you
all informed.
We must show that the Exmoor Rangers are responsible
people and abide by the LAW. The closure to ALL CLUBS came from the
Secretary General Andrew Mercia of the N.R.A.
On Sunday the 26th the club committee had a meeting at the range to talk
things over on where the club was going that was of course before we
knew about the lock down, as we were there talking it was noticed that
Brian Williams little plaque had been torn down by some LOW GRADE PERSON
or PERSONS from the wall [we had the club notice board removed from
the block house early in the year] but to remove Brian’s plaque goes
beyond my words that I wish to print.
Please as we all know someone out there in the shooting fraternity ask around and let me know if you get their name/names....... It was still on the wall on the 14-10-2020. and I will do
my VERY BEST to get this low life off and their club the range .
Back to the meeting..........
As our meeting normally goes it was quite quick - our insurance is due which this year is £981.25 which has now been paid.
The club range rent is due which at the moment we are not sure on the
cost but we are ready to pay.
With costs in question we still have club members who are still not paying their membership on time and we have to
chase them up to pay each year, This year we are not going to do this if
any member has not paid by the 5th of DECEMBER THEY WILL BE IN DEFAULT,
We then as a committee will decide what will happen. Payment is ease ask
your bank to start a standing order to pay the EXMOOR RANGERS £70.00 on
the 1ST of December the account number is 06861660, sort code 60-02-03
with NatWest the £70.00 is per member.
PLEASE if you have any problems contact me or if you do not wish to
contact me then speak or contact Mark Williams 01271 316845 or email
him on [email protected].
We also have decided that there would be no AGM this year because of
what is happening with virus, The same committee will stand on again
for another year, If you do have any issues or problems just give me a
call and we will do our very best to get it sorted.
This has been a bad year, a number of members have not been to the
range to shoot and if you are concerned that your name is not in the
range book this will not be a problem as we all have been responsible
club members and done our bit to help stop this virus both from catching
it and spreading it to others, The police should be under standing in
this matter when it comes to renewing your certificates.
Regards keep safe and well,
Mark Williams, & Collon,
